The LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons closed out their season with a triumphant 58-41 victory over Team Bath in their last-ever match, played in front of a sold-out crowd at the Utilita Arena.
The atmosphere was electric from the start, and the Dragons quickly capitalized on the energy, leaping to a 17-08 lead at the first break. The defensive duo of Jacqui Newton and Leah Middleton were impenetrable, making it exceedingly difficult for Team Bath to penetrate their shooting circle.
Georgia Rowe was the star of the show, dazzling the home crowd with her stellar performance. The Dragons continued their dominance in the second quarter, with every player contributing to their commanding lead.
The third quarter saw the Dragons’ momentum grow even stronger. Despite a valiant effort from Team Bath in the final quarter, they couldn’t bridge the gap. The Dragons finished the game on a high note, showcasing the depth of their squad by putting a full team on the court.
