Celtic Dragons netball franchise has signed a ground-breaking deal with O’Neills sportswear company. The partnership means that O’Neills will be the official teamwear supplier of Celtic Dragons, the only Welsh team in the UK’s Vitality Netball Superleague.
Celtic Dragons will become O’Neills first ever elite netball partner as the company expands into professional female sport. Celtic Dragons’ iconic green branding will become synonymous with the O’Neills name and be seen by the many thousands of netball fans across the UK on Sky Sports TV.
O’Neills will be providing all elements of players’ official teamwear and will be catering for fans in an exciting development for the Dragons ‘Green Army.’ O’Neills will also be providing teamwear for Welsh Netball’s age-grade and senior international teams as well as the National Governing Body’s staff.
This announcement comes as Celtic Dragons prepare for another hugely competitive Superleague season. Incoming head coach, experienced New Zealander Tania Hoffman will be leading a new-look Dragons side as the players in green face off against some of the world’s best netballers.
Having been in business for 100 years, O’Neills has an outstanding international reputation for providing the highest quality clothing for a range of sporting and leisure activities. O’Neills provide sportswear for some of the biggest teams in rugby union, rugby league, cricket and GAA. O’Neills experience of working with some of Europe’s most passionate sports teams and fans makes their products an ideal fit for Celtic Dragons in the Superleague.
Sarah Jones, Welsh Netball CEO shared her enthusiasm for the new partnership. She said: “We have worked hard to secure the right deal for Celtic Dragons and netball in Wales. This partnership is a statement of intent from the franchise and O’Neills is going to be at the heart of the Dragons identity in the Superleague.

O’Neills have a century of expertise behind them and their clothing is used by a huge range of sports across the world, with elite netball being their latest addition. They share our ambition to grow the game and inspire young women across Wales.
Susie Robertson, O’Neills UK Sales Manager, also shared her thoughts on the deal.
