At the conclusion of the 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague, Celtic Dragons is proud to learn that Trinidad & Tobago goal-attack, Kalifa McCollin has been named as GA in this year’s All Star VII! The fantasy netball team is made up of the best players in each position from the league’s ten teams, chosen by the league itself. The team is as follows:
GOAL KEEPER
SAM COOK – Severn Stars
Sam Cook has caught the eye of her fellow players and national press with her excellent performances throughout the season with her ability to check the opponent’s shot a standout feature of her game. A shining star in her side’s season, Cook helped keep some of the league’s best attacks at bay and was deservedly named Vitality Player of the Month for April.
GOAL DEFENCE
JO TRIP – Saracens Mavericks
The formidable defender has been a key figure in one of the league’s best defences. Athletic and versatile, she loves an intercept and brings the ball through well. Her skills in the defending third are feared by attacking players throughout the league.
WING DEFENCE
NATALIE PANAGARRY – Loughborough Lightning
Loughborough Lighting’s captain has been a standout player in a season which culminated in a top-four finish for the Midlands side. Not only has Nat been rewarded with an appearance in the team of the season but also with nominations for the Vitality Player of the Year and the Fans’ Player of the Year!

SERENA GUTHRIE – Team Bath Netball
On her return from Australia, the Vitality Roses star has been lighting up the court. A driving force in the mid-court, she radiates energy and has excellent leadership qualities, inspiring those around her. She’s demonstrated exactly why she’s regarded as one of the world’s best players.
WING ATTACK
LIANA LEOTA – Manchester Thunder
Quick and creative, Leota’s play-making skills show she is one of the best wing attacks in the business. Not only that, her experience and leadership skills have made her instrumental in Thunder making the top four this year.

KALIFA MCCOLLIN – Celtic Dragons
The Trinidad and Tobago international has been a key figure in Celtic Dragons’ most successful Vitality Netball Superleague season in recent years. A vibrant and athletic player, her consistent shooting accuracy have helped fire her team up the league and secure a first-ever appearance at the British Fast5 All-Stars Championship.

RACHEL DUNN – Wasps Netball
The Vitality Roses star has been highlighted as playing some of the best netball of her career by pundit and former coach Tamsin Greenway. She’s played a pivotal role in leading Wasps’ charge for a third consecutive title with her sharp shooting and cool-headedness helping to change games.
We would like to congratulate Kalifa on her selection in the All Star VII after what has been a fantastic season for her and the squad. Celtic Dragons would also like to congratulate Manchester Thunder on winning the 21019 Grand Final on Saturday 18 May, overcoming last year’s winners, Wasps with Team Bath winning the third place playoff.
