The Netball Performance League consists of 10 teams of players aged between 14 and 19 years old, 8 of the 10 teams are the junior attachment to one of the 8 Vitality Netball Super League franchises along with the South and West Midlands region.
The players are in the athlete pathway for progression to become a future Super League player or represent their home country.
After a busy two months of training the Junior Dragons squad of 15 players was selected for the 2016 National Performance League. The league games start in February 2016.
The first two scheduled league games for the Junior Dragons are away games; their first home game is being staged in Ebbw Vale Leisure Centre against Team Bath. The Junior Dragons will play most of their home games in front of the Celtic Dragons NSL game, this is exciting for both our players and our Green Army fans who will get to see two great games of netball.
Louisa Daniel head coach for Junior Dragons quoted
“Following a tough selection process, I am very happy with the chosen squad. I know these players will grab the opportunity to display their talents and develop within the NPL league”.
