It’s nearly December and Celtic Dragons full schedule of pre-season warm ups has now been confirmed with a range of exciting netball challenges awaiting the team.
The Dragons will begin with something a little different by facing Knights Men’s Netball in a friendly at this week’s training session. Founded in April of this year, the London-based Knights have quickly established a good reputation for providing competitive practice games for Superleague netball franchises and we look forward to welcoming the boys to Cardiff.
Then, there is the eagerly anticipated home preseason match against Manchester Thunder in Deeside, Flintshire on December 8. The match, which sold out in a record 7 hours, will be Dragons fans first chance to see the new team in action and the players are looking forward to meeting all of our fabulous North Wales fans.
Finally, on December 15, Celtic Dragons will travel to the iconic Copperbox in London for an intriguing tri-tournament competition between brand-new franchise London Pulse and border rivals Severn Stars. Playing two matches back-to-back will be a great test for the squad prior to Christmas and the start of the Vitality Netball Superleague on 5 January.
