Article from England Netball

The fastest, most exciting, high octane and intense form of Netball is back in the New Year as the eight Superleague franchise head to the Wright Robinson in Manchester, and we want you to be a part of it!

The CCL FastNet Grand Prix will feature all of your favourite Netball Superleague franchises and all of the best players from the league.  Reigning FastNet and NSL Champions Manchester Thunder will play host to the 2013 event on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th January.

In an alteration to the event last year, all matches will be played on a single weekend with the winner claiming the trophy in the Grand Final on Saturday evening.

The tournament will see the eight teams split into two groups, each playing in a round robin followed by a play-off game, semi-finals and Grand Final. In another change to the 2012 event, the groups have been determined by final positions in last season’s NSL rather than location.

Each team that finished in an odd number position, make up Group 1. Therefore, Manchester Thunder, Hertfordshire Mavericks, Celtic Dragons and Team Northumbria are all placed together. Group 2 consists of the even number teams, Surrey Storm, Team Bath, Yorkshire Jets and Loughborough Lightning. The event will be split into three sessions; Friday evening, Saturday and Saturday evening.

Tickets for the competition are on sale NOW and cost just £5 per person, per session! That is a flat rate for all who attend and with demand expected to be incredibly high once again, we advise you book tickets early to avoid disappointment!
