We are delighted to release our brand new 2024 Accelerated Media Programme!

This brand-new Cardiff Dragons Accelerated Media Programme is designed for those who love all things sport (not just netball!) and are interested in working in media.

This is a multiple-day course delivered in person with an online Meet & Greet with course attendees taking place Monday 11th and Thursday 14th March at 7 pm.

What this course Offers

  • Upskill your interview techniques by interviewing athletes, coaches & fans
  • Classroom with a facilitator to answer questions & offer support
  • How to write match reports
  • Practical steps for Matchday content
  • Behind-the-scenes access to the LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons squad
  • Add Media Staff with Cardiff Dragons to your CV
  • Official Certificate of Completion

  • Social Media Tools & Channels
  • Interviews & Interview Skills
  • Practical Matchday Content eg:
    • Match reports
    • Live reporting scores
  • Match Activation
  • Video Footage

What to Bring

  • Refillable water bottle
  • Lunch (sandwiches can be provided but lunch can be brought in)
  • Appropriate footwear (eg no heels above 1inch, comfortable shoes for moving around in)


  • Must be 16+ years old (as of 23rd March 2024)
  • Must be able to attend one of the online Meet & Greets
  • Must be able to attend the full day training workshop 23rd March 2024
  • Must attend (in addition to 23rd March) at least 3 of the 4 home games below to put skills into practice.
    • 30th March at House of Sport
    • 18th May at House of Sport
    • 8th June at Utilita Arena
    • 15th June at Utilita Arena


Non-Member fee – £200

Member fee – £160

Training Workshop Schedule 23rd March 2024

9:30am arrival, classroom time until 3pm, then game time, overview of training, game support etc. 

Day finishes at 7:30pm.

For lunch we can provide sandwiches, but lunch can also be brought in.

Additional Games

Candidates must be available for practical application of skills at 3 home games after the training course. The anticipated time candidates will be needed at these games is 5 hours.
