LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons are proud to announce the promotion of Bethan Dyke to co vice-captain, following a recent ankle injury sustained by vice-captain Leah Middleton. Dyke will now share the vice-captaincy duties alongside Elle McDonald as the team continues its 2025 campaign.

Dyke, who captains the Welsh Feathers, is a highly respected figure within Welsh netball, with 75 international caps to her name. Known for her leadership, composure under pressure and dedication to the sport, Dyke’s appointment further strengthens the leadership structure of the team as they head into a pivotal stage of the season.

Reinga Bloxham, Head Coach of LexisNexis Cardiff Dragons, said:

“Bethan is an exceptional leader on and off the court. Her experience and deep understanding of the game make her a natural choice for this role. With Bethan and Elle as co-vice captains alongside Jacqui Newton as captain, we’re in an incredibly strong position moving forward.”

Bethan Dyke added:

“It’s a real honour to step into this position and support Elle, Jacqui and the rest of the team. I’ve loved every moment of leading the Feathers, and I’m looking forward to helping drive the Dragons forward through the rest of the season. We’re more focused than ever and we’re ready for what’s ahead.”
